The grounds of Caribbean Villas offers a glimpse of real tropical
paradise. Aside from stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and the island’s only bird sanctuary, Caribbean Villas offers
wonderfully cared-for flora and fauna native to this part of the world.
From the moment you enter our property, you’re enveloped
by jungle. The drive from the street to the villas is more like a verdant tunnel than anything. You’ll can see how they
earn the second half of our name, Hotel/Bird Sanctuary title. At the front of the property, amid all the lushness is a ‘people
perch’ - a high tower above the treetops that’s set up for bird-watchers or anybody just wanting to catch some
great views. The hotel is on the quiet southern end of the island which gets very little boat traffic, so the water is
calm and crystal clear. You’ll be up for a swim off the large pier or even a snorkel underneath the pier to see lots
of sea life.
Outside the resort there
are tours and activities available. Dive tour operators take guests to the nearby
reef and for those looking for something more exotic there is “ The Great Blue Hole “. Other tours include sailing
and trip to see the Mayan ruins. Activities one can do on their own include fishing,
biking, swimming, stargazing, walking along the shore and hammock time!
